Ms. Pahl was born and raised in England, but is a long-time resident and citizen of the United States. Her dazzling waterfront scenes are a result of her passionate love of boating. As a child, she constantly dabbled in art, and eventually made it her career. She represented the esteemed German naval architect Gerhard Gilgenast based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and learned much about yacht design. She worked with boat builders and interior decorators, and further expanded her knowledge through years of sailing. She made many trips to the Bahamas and the Carribean, as well as a trans-Atlantic crossing and some raceboat crewing.

Ms. Pahl dreamed of living aboard a boat, but realized the impracticalities. She decided instead to take up an art form that could be done while sailing. She began painting watercolors of boats, including portraits of yachts for many of her contacts in the marine industry. She moved to St. Augustine and immediately began to sell her paintings at local galleries. Her work is shown in many galleries in the South and in Maine.

Ms. Pahl regularly donates works to major charities. She is a signature member of ASMA, and an active member of St. Augustine Art Association. She also was accepted as an official U. S. Coast Guard artist. She continues to sail in many locations along the East Coast, including a jaunt aboard a windjammer in Maine. Her brilliant, colorful paintings have won many awards, and are a reflection of her many hours spent at sea. Her works have a whimsical charm, and yet are vibrant and powerful renderings of the colorful world of sailing. Many of her watercolors are also available as prints. (Prices range from $850 to $3000 and details on currently available paintings sent on request)
