Ms. Davis splits her time between her Florida home and her
studio in Rockport, Maine. Her extensive educaiton, including
a stay at the renowned Atelier Fougerat in Paris, France, and
studying at Rhode Island School of Design, lends an expert eye
to her work.
Ms. Davis has traveled extensively, both in this country and
abroad, and in each locale, has usually taken classes or courses
to broaden her artistic experience. She has studied with Ann
Toulman Roth, Robert Baxter and Charles Reid, the famous watercolorist,
whom she cites as the greatest influence on her work. During
a stay in Guan, she wrote a history of the island, and while
she was studying oil painting at San Diego State College, she
authored a paper on Romanesque sculpture.
Ms. Davis' colorful, delightfully detailed paintings protraying
the New England coast are extremely popular, and have gained
wide recognition in galleries and art associations in New England,
New York City, and in California, and her work has received
numerous awards in juried shows throughout the country.
Ms. Davis has also held seminars and classes at various watercolor
societies and schools in New England and Florida.
Ms. Davis is a third generation artist. Grandfather, Alvah
Crocker of Fitchburg Mass & Paris, France - painter and
