A native of Canada, Keith Miller studied at Toronto’s Ontario College of Art, and later taught painting at nearby Sheridan College School of Visual Arts. After extensive travel in Europe and Asia, Mr. Miller moved to San Miguel, Mexico, where he lives today. Influenced by this new environment, he has recently begun painting giant shells and native flowers. Mr. Miller’s best-known works are his oils and watercolors of classic yachts and America’s Cup boats, painted in the years before his move to Mexico. His intense colorations and attention to historical detail make his works dramatic interpretations without peer. Mr. Miller’s works are in such prestigious collections as the Marine Museum of Upper Canada; Toronto Historical Board; Royal Canadian Yacht Club; Hilmar Reksten Shipping Company, Norway; South Street Seaport Museum, New York; Museum of the City of New York; Office of the Mayor of the City of New York; U. S. Department of State; the Maritime Museum, and private collections in Asia, Europe, Canada and Mexico.
